Why We Built This Site
Kentucky gives the public broad access to many records, but Jefferson County has several separate record paths. The Jefferson Circuit Court Clerk handles Circuit, Family, and District Court case files. The Jefferson County Clerk handles marriage licenses, deeds, liens, and recorded legal instruments. Louisville Metro Corrections handles the local jail roster, while state agencies hold driver-history, offender, and background-check records. Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
